Aziya Immunopreparat was founded in 2013 in Tashkent and is among the world's first pharmaceutical companies to implement GMP standards for human bacteriophage production. Today it is the only bacteriophage manufacturer in Uzbekistan.

Production facilities are located in the industrial zone of Yunusabad district, Tashkent. From 2022 to 2025 the company passed 5 GMP inspections, obtained its first certificate in 2022 and completed re-certification in 2025.
