Memorandum of Cooperation Signed

Aziya Immunopreparat LLC and the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases have signed a memorandum of cooperation. Established in 1965, the Center is one of the country's leading scientific and practical institutions in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious and parasitic diseases, as well as epidemiological monitoring. The Center has more than 200 beds and provides specialized medical care to over 30,000 patients and visitors annually. It has a modern laboratory base, highly qualified specialists and extensive experience in clinical trials of new medicines. Aziya Immunopreparat LLC is a local pharmaceutical company operating since 2014, specialized in the production of immunobiological products, particularly bacteriophage medicines. Today the company manufactures more than 50 types of immunobiological products, including bacteriophages, and is the only GMP-standard bacteriophage manufacturer in Central Asia. This memorandum is aimed at fulfilling the priority tasks set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in healthcare, medical science and the development of the local pharmaceutical industry. Within the partnership, joint monitoring and scientific research on infectious diseases and antibiotic resistance are planned, along with clinical trials of innovative immunobiological products and bacteriophages and implementation of scientific and practical projects. Cooperation also covers the development of bacteriophage products against microorganisms listed by the World Health Organization as priority antibiotic-resistant bacteria, evaluation of their clinical efficacy and expansion of research in this field. This partnership will strengthen integration between science, clinical practice and the local pharmaceutical industry, support the creation of innovative medicines, improve the effectiveness of combating infectious diseases and protect public health.
